How we went from 1,800 to 2,500 Calories and dropped body fat!
As a personal trainer, I encounter a lot of women who are afraid to eat. They get stuck eating 1,800 - 1,200 calories, thinking that this is their maintenance calories. Well, honey, it’s not.
When Gabs came to me she had concerns around gaining weight, but her goals of building muscle and losing a bit of body fat required her to get comfortable with the idea of eating a little more food.
Over the period of 6 months we went through a reverse diet and worked her calories up from 1,800 to 2,500 a day, and as you can see from the photo on the right, she clearly dropped fat during that time and grew some good quality muscle as well and wicked strong!
Don’t be afraid to eat ladies! We need more food to thrive than you think! And factor in weight training and you’ll be surprised at how much your body may need.
